“I’m a big fan of cop thrillers – especially when the stakes are really high. I think in some ways I’ve always wanted to be that grizzled veteran who knows what the score is. I’ll have to settle for being a skinny Jewish rapper instead. Mark originally called his beat Electric Jihad (how cool?). As for Nyambz, he’s a longtime collaborator and arguably the best beatmaker Africa has ever seen. Getting to work with him is a joy – we’ve already made one dope story track (entitled Serenity), so this was a great chance to do it again. He and his protégé Arch cooked up Part Two, and it was a perfect match for Mark’s eerie opener.”
